"Letting Go"

This was made just after the 2022 floods in the Northern Rivers.  It was a time of loss, dispair, fear and starting again for many people.   In this piece a bird is representative of the people of the Northern Rivers  who were able to see the devastation of the floods from above in images that flooded our news and social media channels.  We wanted to move on, get on with it and let go but our the strings attached were many. 

This is a wall hanging made intirely of leather with an inner core.
