"Gum leaf Flower"

I made a few of these gum leaf flowers.   They are purely aesthetic  and I love the idea of making a leaf from leather and arrange them to resemble a flower.  Even with these multiple levels of mimicry we still recognise the final object as a flower, but it was never a flower. 

This piece is box framed in a natural wood colour with perspex and leather accents.
