"Preserving Decay #2"

I am having some fun using leaves for abstract compositions like these. Playing with the restraints of a canvas and illusionary space. This leather leaf is based on a fallen gum tree that had fallen and changed colour to purples and reds, as they do. 

The leaf is made from leather, by me.  It is mounted on acid free archival paper that is fixed to plywood.  The piece is framed. Frame can easily be changed if desired.  There are two panels.
